Geoffrey Zeger, LCSW

Geoff provides individual, couples and family therapy to children, adolescents, adults and couples.  With over 26 years of total Social Work experience, Geoff employs multiple strategies and interventions to assist clients to reduce disruptive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and move towards life goals.  Geoff accepts children (tantrums, anxiety, hyperactivity), adolescents (oppositional, substance abuse, self-harm,), adults (depression, anxiety, obsessions, stress management, addictive behavior including substances and the internet) and couples (communication difficulties, affairs, step-parenting/blended families).
 
Along with several years of private and contractual work, Geoff has worked with Willie M. Children, JSO's (Juvenile Sex Offenders), provided trainings, done Crisis Intervention calls with the Police and Sheriff in Durham, worked with a Disaster Mental Health Team at Ground Zero, deployed to assist the reintegration of a Company of soldiers returning from Iraq, completed Pre-Sentencing Evaluations for Durham District Court, and has been a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health team since 1995.
