Stress Management Suggestions

1. Learn to say “no” and mean it.

2. Limit obligations you take on; reduce number of role demands.

3. Manage time effectively and efficiently; schedule your life in such a way that you avoid conflicting demands as much as possible.

4. Ask for help from your partner, family, and friends.

5. Evaluate goals for yourself and others; be realistic rather than perfectionistic.

6. Delegate whenever possible at work and at home.

7. Reduce uncertainty by establishing a routine.

8. Manage and plan for changes as much as possible; don’t try to change everything at once.

9. Learn relaxation strategies.

10. Talk patiently to yourself — no condemnation or hostile name-calling.

11. Comment for good efforts, success.

12. Exercise on a regular basis.

13. Have fun and LAUGH.

14. Find meaning in your life.

15. Schedule down time.

16. Develop and maintain a social support system.

17. Eat thoughtfully.

18. Sleep enough.

19. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

20. CONSIDER YOURSELF.
